Yang Si, training since a young age in the art of tea has keeps an ancient tradition of tending his tea trees, harvesting and processing. His leaves (earth, age of trees, quality of the environment) tare fantastic. Unlike many other farmers he does not trim his trees (to increase yields in spring, but diluting the “qi”), he does not loosen the soil (allowing natural, slow absorption of nutrients). The altitude and soil composition give very tasty tea. His technique is a “rustic” more old-fashioned technique that especially interests the “traditional way” seekers. There is a certain charm in Yang Si’s rustic techniques and wood firing, this is the traditional way the local tribal people have made their tea for hundreds of years.
We regret to announce that just last year Yang Si passed away and therefore we do not have any of his wonderful teas left.
Rest in peace Yang Si, we will miss you.
