The liquor is a rich earth brown that looks like espresso and is very, very thick. The leaves are short, twisted with light and dark brown swirls. Each box contains 10 balls of 8-grams servings.

This Award Winning Puer won the Gold Medal at the 2011 Yunnan Government Puer Competition in both categories of Best Fermented Puer and Best Raw Puers. It is hand-picked by Grandma Yang of the Yi tribe in Yunnan. The tea leaves are from ancient, certified organic tea trees on a sustainable tea plantation on Wuliang Mountain. When pressed into cakes they use a special fragrant wood using only the pressure of their hands to press it giving it a truly unique flavor.
This tea can really settle your stomach as the rich, thick liquor can give a protective coating on the inside. Fermented puer is rich in beneficial bacteria which significantly aids digestion and is relaxing for the stomach. Fermented puer also typically has double the vitamin C of raw puer which happens during the cooking process. It is thought to also reduce clogging of the arteries due to eating fatty foods.*
