The glassware is solidly made, handles boiling hot water with no problem. Being glass, it allows you to observe how the leaves develop through the brews, a necessity for us as beginners but would be enjoyable for tea brewers of all levels.
I have many Gaiwan at home but this once is not only the most beautiful but the most enjoyable to use. It is very handy and there is a beautiful leave on the top of the Gaiwan. I really like to see my tea through this beautiful Gaiwan.
